We asked Jess to tell us a bit about her work & inspiration for BACK & FORTH...
"For the past year I have been building a
small patch empire.
I love how accessible and unexclusive patches can be.
Patches allow people to display them however they see fit, whether it be sewn
onto a favourite coat or used as a piece of art, framed and hung on a wall.

Patches have always communicated messages clearly and successfully.
Whether it
be a uniform that needs clarifying with a FBI logo, or on the sleeve of a
fishing fanatic who wants you to know their favourite vacation spot.
This 'does
what it says on the tin' aesthetic lends itself perfectly to my bold
and often
literal way of working.
Whilst putting together Back and Forth I explored the
contrast between
vintage aesthetics, modern technologies, cultures,
brands and
attitudes towards gender,
presenting them in a low fi and light hearted way (of
course.)"
